 Prague and my first impressions

2021-05-06Alma Camassa

Exactly one month ago, Aušra and I moved to Prague.

I still have imprinted in my mind, the moment we left what was our home in Ceska Lipa for six months. I remember well how much luggage we had and how tight we were in the car. I remember when we arrived and the moment we met our two roommates. In our apartment, an atmosphere of carefree and sharing has been created. We like being together, having dinner, walking, organizing parties, but at the same time everyone also carves out their own space for themselves. It was a month of great emotions and great fun. I have met and known many people. And I also met a group of Italians and when I am with them I don't miss my country and my friends.

I never imagined you could spend these last few months in Prague. It was an unexpected and pleasant surprise. And once again, I feel at home here too. I settled in very early and I feel like I've been living here for a long time. The city seems magical to me and is on a human scale. You can move easily by public transport and each place has its own characteristic and peculiarity. I can't wait to discover it all and above all, I look forward to the reopening of museums and artistic-cultural festivals.

The only thing I miss is school and being able to experience the frenzy of school corridors full of students and meet the eyes and smiles of the boys. I hope at least that before the end of school, we could go back to school to experience the intense emotion of learning and growing together again.

See you soon,

Alma.
