Time passes but memories remain

2022-08-23Gabriella Medwell

Not long ago, everything seemed like a dream, and now we look back at the past five days with nostalgia. The second Erasmus project is behind us, but as the title suggests, the memories will remain forever.
And what was this compared to the July project? What have young people from different corners of Europe learned? What did they recognize? Where did their footsteps lead?
First of all, this project aimed for the participants to develop both linguistically and physically. Compared to the original intention of a red thread of martial arts connecting activities (the project was supposed to be implemented two years ago and in a different place), thanks to the possibilities of the city of Liberec and its surroundings, outdoor tourist activities became the red thread. And so young people from Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Romania, Italy and Ukraine climbed Ještěd together with the Czech participants, got to know the Liberec Heights and the surroundings of the Forest Swimming Pool, visited the Dragon Stone and walked between Harcov and the city center several times a day.
They were once again provided with a roof over their heads by the Harcov dormitories, and KNL catering in the premises of the Liberec hospital.
