I have been volunteering in France for almost 2 months and I still have a beautiful 7 month ahead of me. My job is to work in a youth center, where together with a volunteer from France (Charlotte) we are in charge of things related to international mobility. What is great about my job is that I have the opportunity to decide what I want to do and create my own small projects (eg every month with Charlotte we hold a "Happy Talk" where we invite young people and we have lectures, discussions and presentations on topics such as climate change, travel,…). But what I enjoy most about my work is that I educate myself about the possibilities of traveling and multicultural life, so that I can then educate others (for example, when we give lectures in schools).
When it comes to living in France itself, the language barrier is the most difficult for me, because most people here don't speak English here, which is a motivation for improving my French. On the contrary, the positive finding was how nice and polite people are.
