Despite the difficult time that the whole world is going through, we are trying to continue our volunteer activities.
We are doing online lessons with the kids at the school and we are doing additional lessons for the applicants. We are trying to use our time, make ourselves useful.
What I like most and, above all, makes me feel happy and alive, are the continuous excursions that we organize and the people who accompany us.
The only thing we can do in the open air are excursions; for this reason, every weekend we take long walks and, slowly, we are always discovering new places in this fantastic region.
Honestly, I have lost count of how many places I have already visited. I try to list them: Ralsko, Havraní skály, Klič, Peklo, Jedlová, Tolštejn Castle, Zahrádky, Spitzak, Dutý kámen, Staré Splavy, Čertovy hlavy.
And it does not matter if there is good weather or bad weather. When we have the opportunity, we immerse ourselves in nature and explore the landscape, even at the cost of walking while it rains hard, when there is fog and strong wind. We never stand still. We even walked for 20 km and we were smiling, free and reading, even if tired; we saw the sunrise from Špičák and had breakfast on its slopes. It was all so unexpected and amazing.
We are trying to hold on. We are concerned about our families, but at the same time we try to keep our minds occupied, to discover new places and to learn from all that is offered and offered to us.
I feel like part of a big family and that is why I am excited. It is true that good things happen when you least expect it.
We are learning to be strong, to always smile, and to rely on each other, to change ourselves.
We think positive, always!!!
